If you are fed up of daily routine and bangalore traffic and want to spend some time at some cool and calm place nearby, then this is the perfect location.
Not many people know about this place so its now crowded and you can relax here for a while. Prefer to go here during rainy season else there would be no water in the fall. Try to wake up early and reach here early morning to truly admire the beauty of this place.
I won't say this is an awesome place but a nice place to spend a day with your family near to the city.
Where to have food:
There's a small KSTDC restaurant that overlooks the entire valley. The view from the restaurant is truly amazing. The food is nice and affordable. You will definitely enjoy a hot cup of tea/coffee alongwith some hot pakodas while looking at the beautiful valley.
The waterfall:
You'll have to get down from the parking area near to the KSTDC restaurant (about 100-120 steps down) to reach to the waterfalls (and the stream) area.
There is a temple (dedicated to Lord Shiva) near the stream and is well maintained. A puja (prayer) is done once every morning.
There may be festivities on special occasions.
There are a lot of monkeys at this place, so please be aware and don't carry any food item with you.
Don't expect a very big waterfall.
The water falling from the valley will look like pearls when it is splasing on the rocks down; And that is why it is so called.

To Carry: Better to carry your own food and water. Wear shoes/sandals suitable for climbing on rocks and steep surfaces, as the pathways are not well paved but quite natural and rustic. There's a small shop near to the restuarant where you can buy ice creams and mineral water. You may also try the food at the restaurant. The view from the restaurant is great and the food is ok.
How to reach: Use private vehicle.
It is near a town called Anekal on the outskirts of Bangalore. It may be easier and faster to reach this town via Hosur Road, although there is another route via Bannerghatta National Park. It should not take more than 90 minutes to reach this place from M G road. You may use google maps driving direction to get the exact route to reach this place. Be aware that you won't find much boards or driving directions. Even the people don't know much about this place. So, look at the driving direction and route map carefully before you start.
